How It All Began
Born from a longing to slow down
Sabi House was born from a simple belief: that the best stays are not about how many amenities you have, but how a space makes you feel.
In the heart of i-City Shah Alam — surrounded by the energy of entertainment, shopping and night lights — we wanted to create a calm, welcoming space. A place where guests could step away from the noise and simply be themselves.
Every detail, from the warm earthy tones to the carefully chosen furniture, reflects the Wabi-Sabi philosophy of finding beauty in the imperfect, the natural, and the authentic.
We designed Sabi House not as a hotel room or an Airbnb listing, but as a home — a space where families gather, where graduates celebrate with loved ones, and where couples can simply be together.
Behind the Scenes
Hand-Finished with Heart
Most walls, shelves and corners of Sabi House were finished by the owner's own hands — a true labour of love that turned a blank unit into a home. Little here came off a shelf: most lamps, panels and frames were imagined and finished for this home, and nowhere else.

The Floating Bed, Lit from Within
The signature floating bed hovers on a hidden plinth, with warm LED light hand-fitted beneath and finished by the host himself. A built-in motion sensor glows softly as you approach — a one-of-a-kind piece that makes every night feel warm and wonderfully different.

Cloud Lamps, Made for This Home
Cute, cloud-like pendant lamps made for Sabi House. Their fluffy texture and soft, diffused glow turn every corner into a dreamy, aesthetic scene — a charming detail you will not find anywhere else.
Custom-Made
The Arch, Finished and Floating
The finished pink arch, mounted over a custom floating console made exclusively for Sabi House. What began as raw timber is now the warm, sculptural centrepiece of the room.

Where the Craft Meets Comfort
After all the measuring, sanding and finishing comes the moment it was all for — a plush, hotel-grade mattress resting perfectly on the floating base. Climb in, and the whole journey quietly pays off.

Every groove of the artbrick wall was filled and painted by hand. The host chose each shade of blush and blue so it would catch the light differently through the day.

The Heart, Carved for This Table
A textured heart, hand-carved and finished by the host exclusively for Sabi House. Its faceted surface catches the light beside the sculptural lamp — a custom-made detail you will only find on this table.

The Cloud Fan, Installed by Hand
Even the ceiling fan is custom — a sculptural cloud-shaped blade hand-finished in timber and installed with love by professionals. It makes the whole room feel designed, not decorated.

The Arch, Painted by Princes Medeena
The arched feature panel was sketched, cut and painted by Princes Medeena. The brush strokes are deliberately imperfect — a Wabi-Sabi signature made exclusively for this home.

Look closely and you will see the grain, the joints and the soft glow beneath. Every edge of this bed frame was measured, sanded and finished by hand — a detail you will not find in any catalogue.
